Kate is still doing ok, although she was more fussy than usual today. At one point, she had a slight fever. The docs are monitoring her closely as this might be a sign that her PICC line (the longer term, deeper IV that was put in at UCSF last week) might be getting infected. Although she is on very high doses of antibiotics, there is still a possibility of infection by a bacteria resistant to the specific antibiotic she's on. Crossing our fingers that this doesn't turn into anything.
Kelly and I will be attempting to return to work tomorrow. Kate's nurse Constance will be with her at the hospital during the day. We'll see how it all works out.
