We had a good night. Kate slept in her bassinet between feedings, which is an improvement from needing to sleep next to mommy or daddy. Guess her sleeping alone in the crib at the hospital was helpful for something! *sigh*
Julia is home with us now and doing well. She is an amazing child who appears to have weathered the past week and a half quite well. Thanks to our amazing family support, she was being cared for with love and exceptional attention. Thanks Fam!
The four of us read books together last night before Julia went to bed.
Kate has been smiling quite a bit these days (no, it's not just gas!)

Hi Kelly and family,
It's Monica from CT. I had written an e-mail to your mom and she updated me the news about Kate. First of all, Congratulations
on your 2nd child I didn't know about her. My thought and prayers have been with your family since your mom gave me this site yesterday. Your husband did a great job with this site updating everybody every day during these difficult days. I wanted to let you know I was thinking about you and we will be in contact after everything settles down. Wow it seems like we were just running around as kids and know we are raising our own kids! You have a beautiful family and thanks for sharing the photos.
Take Care,
Monica

Julia has weathered the last week and a half so well because her parents taught her to be resilient and independent (okay, maybe the independent part came naturally to her)! Love you guys and we're thinking of you!!
