Kelly gets to hold Kate!!!
We had a frustrating couple of hours this afternoon being separated from Kate. They were doing some surgical procedures in the ICU and did not allow visiting for a couple hours. Kelly had left the room to eat a snack and was prevented from getting back in. I had been in on the computer in the Family Resource Room, so I was prevented as well. Kate was fine, but we were pretty upset. Gotta love life in the hospital!!!
On to the good news... Kate's doing well enough for us to hold her! Kelly held her soon after we were let back into the room, but wasn't able to breastfeed yet. Let's hope she can breastfeed before we go back to the hotel tonight...
If all goes well, the last of the tubes should come out tomorrow. Keeping our fingers crossed!

We're checking in on Kate's progress daily, and so glad that she is recovering so well. I love the picture with her battery too - so sweet that you would think of it. You are surrounded by so many people who care about you (many more than you may even realize!). Keep up the great work, and let us know when we can help out.
