We got home about 2:30 this afternoon.
Kate did not like the car ride. At all. She pretty much cried the whole way except for about 10 minutes in the middle. Ugh. That was not fun.
We arrived home to the sound of a jackhammer. They are doing construction next door and today of all days was jackhammer the concrete day. Kate took it better than me, but was still pretty fussy.
We're taking turns holding Kate. It's pretty hot and noisy, plus I think she's just not feeling herself. All which makes for a child that's tough to console.
BUT... she's ultimately doing fine. Just a rough spot right now. More later. Pictures, I promise!

Welcome home! We hope you're all able to stay cool and get some rest, and that the construction next door quiets down! We're so happy to hear about how well Kate is doing and that you are all back together again where you belong. Lots of love. Adam & (Big) Kate
We're so happy that you are home! I'm sure it is great to have the family all together. Hopefully, the weather will cool off and it will be a little more comfy for everyone, and the construction won't quite be so noisey - hang in there!
Blessings to you all!
Pat and Debby
